This stunning image captures the powerful blue-hour magic at Hooker Lake, with the magnificent peaks of Aoraki/Mt Cook overlooking the valley below. I hiked this 10km return trail right at sunset, when most travellers were departing. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the temperatures dropped too, and I sat on the edge of the still lake to photograph this beautiful scene.
